How we work
Five steps. One written specification. No surprises.
A commission should be boring in the best sense: you always know what happens next, what it costs and when it is done. This is the path every model takes through our studio.
Briefing conversation
Thirty to forty-five minutes, by phone or at our studio on Hauptstraße 47. You describe the task in your own words: what arrives, what should happen to it and where the result should land. We ask about volumes, formats and the systems involved. You do not need any technical preparation — describing your working day is enough.
Data & feasibility review
We look at a small sample of your real material — under a confidentiality agreement, on our machines in Berlin or on yours. This answers the only question that matters at this stage: can a model learn this task reliably from the material that exists? If the honest answer is no, we say so and the commission ends here, at no cost to you.
Written specification & fixed quote
You receive a written specification: the exact task, the model class, the evaluation method, the timeline and a fixed price in euro. Nothing starts before you have signed this off. If something has to change later, it changes on paper first, with the price consequence written next to it.
Prototype on your material
Before the full build, you get a working prototype trained on a slice of your material. Your team tests it with real examples from the working day — including the awkward ones. Only when the prototype handles your material convincingly do we proceed to the full build.
Build, evaluation & delivery
The final model is built, evaluated against held-back examples it has never seen, and measured on the class of hardware it will actually run on. You receive the model, its documentation, a handover session for your team — and four weeks of included adjustments while it settles into daily work.
Data handling
Your material stays where you put it
Training and evaluation happen on studio machines in Berlin or on your own hardware — you choose during the briefing. Nothing is sent to third-party services, and no external API ever sees your documents.
Sample material from the feasibility review is deleted after the decision, unless you ask us to keep it for the build. The deletion is confirmed to you in writing.
